We will help identify and setup the right solution for our clients to ensure their operation is as hassle free as possible and offer the full advantages of having their own jet operation. Av8jet can provide you a full executive jet management service, whereby our client’s contract with us to perform the operational duties associated with aircraft, including
•Flight Planning and Operational Support
•Cost Control and Management
•Crew Management
•Technical Oversight
Flight Planning & Operational Support
Operationally day to day we Av8jet arrange the flight planning, catering, fuelling and handling, parking and hangarage, reviewing/paying invoices, retaining and training crew, maintenance oversight etc.
Cost Control & Management
Our service provides the financial and technical management of the aircraft, so that it is a seamless service or we can provide one or more components of management to suit our client’s needs. All our management invoices and ongoing aircraft expense fees are transparent to the owner, so there are no hidden extras with us beyond our management fee.
Crew Management
Crew are needed to fly, but how many are enough? Certain types of aircraft are certified to require only one pilot, but for most Jet aircraft require two.
Pilots require exacting precision and constant refinement of skills, so virtually all flight department personnel should undergo recurrent training, some of which is required by regulation. Most pilots and many maintenance technicians attend training sessions (including simulator instruction) no less than once annually. This is where the skills to deal with unusual flight conditions are practiced and honed.
We recruit full or part time crew for our clients, who are then normally employed either through the operating company, self employed under a service agreement with the operating company or provided through a third party crewing company to the operating company.
Technical Oversight
Av8jet can arrange Continuing Airworthiness and oversee Technical requirements. All European based aircraft must have appropriate Technical Management of the aircraft which includes:
•Developing a maintenance programme for the aircraft, including any reliability programme;
•Organising the approval of the aircraft’s maintenance programme;
•Organising a bridging check with the aircraft’s prior maintenance programme;
•Organising for all maintenance to be carried out by an approved maintenance organisation;
•Organising for all applicable mandatory Airworthiness Directives to be accomplished;
•Organising for all defects discovered during scheduled maintenance or reported by the owner/operator to be corrected by an approved maintenance organisation;
•Coordinating scheduled maintenance, the application of airworthiness directives, the replacement of life limited parts and component inspection requirements;
•Informing the owner each time that the aircraft should be presented to an approved maintenance organisation; managing all technical records;
•Archiving technical records;
•Organising the approval of any modification to the aircraft before it is embodied;
•Organising the approval of any repair to the aircraft before it is carried out;
•Carrying out the airworthiness review of the aircraft when necessary and complete the airworthiness review certificate or recommendation to the Member State Aviation Authority and the State of Registry (if outside the EC); and
•Carrying out all occurrence reporting mandated by applicable regulations
Choosing a Home Base
Proximity to the company's other facilities is a primary factor in deciding where to establish a base, along with the cost of hangarage, fuel and landing/handling/operational costs.
However, many flight department managers believe that the ability of an aircraft to fly in and out of an airport unimpeded is paramount to maximising the efficiency of a company aircraft. The keys to unrestricted access at an airport are the availability of sufficiently long runways for the type of aircraft in all weather conditions, reasonable access to air traffic control (ATC) services, availability of precision instrument landing systems (which will allow flying in less than ideal weather), and the absence of airport or local roadway congestion or aircraft operating restrictions, such as curfews or noise limits.
In fact, aircraft noise regulations, which vary from airport to airport, can be a serious impediment to business aircraft operations. So it is prudent to research the formal and informal noise policy at that airport. Although airport access is important, there are other factors to consider, including the quality of airport security, the ability to connect with airline flights, the availability of customs services, the cost of landing and handling fees.
Av8jet can assist with all the above aspects.
